We are hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a large-scale transportation project to design, implement, and operate AWS‑based infrastructure for train-integration services.
You’ll work on complex distributed systems involving IoT (MQTT), Kafka-based streaming, secure connectivity (mTLS), and high-volume data flows.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (VPC, IAM, S3, ALB/API Gateway)
- Experience with AWS IoT Core or other IoT platforms (MQTT)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation)
- Solid understanding of networking and secure system design
- Hands-on experience with TLS/mTLS and certificate management (x.509, PKI)
- Familiarity with VPN setup and secure connectivity patterns
- Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Upper-intermediate English
Would be a plus:
- Background in rail transportation, automotive, industrial IoT, or other OT‑like environments
- Experience with software/configuration distribution to edge/em bedded devices (similar to DOBUS, OBU).
- Experience with secure file distribution patterns using S3 + HTTPS + certificates
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a secure AWS infrastructure for device-to-cloud communication
- Build and manage mTLS-based access and certificate lifecycle processes
- Configure and operate AWS IoT Core for reliable MQTT communication
- Implement data pipelines between IoT systems and a Kafka-based backend
- Design S3-based storage for telemetry, diagnostics, and updates
- Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Collaborate with backend, platform, and security teams
- Document architecture decisions and support production operations
- Take ownership of infrastructure components and continuously improve them
